devices to remotely control camera
shutters for remote photography.
:: Canon and CHDK ::
Unlike our other products,
gentled-chdk
and
gent360-chdk
requires a firmware enhancement called CHDK to be installed in your Canon camera.
This page is designed to help you with this, so you can use
gentled-chdk
with your camera
-
Get the Scripts
you will need to load onto your cameras SD card. If you
are familiar with CHDK this is all you need.
-
Check your cameras compatibility on this page http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/For_Developers.
You can download the firmware you need from this site also but check that
the version you choose supports remote shutter release. You can also
find code that supports remote shutter release at http://mighty-hoernsche.de/
and http://hem.passagen.se/fsmmal/.
If interested in CHDK generally there is a User
Guide.
-
Install the firmware on the camera, there is an
essential tutorial on how to do this written by Toadstone Design - It
applies to the A640 and Kite Aerial Photography use, but the steps for other
cameras and uses are very similar. Download this demonstration to your
computer for viewing later, the file is compressed with zip, 4.5Mbytes..
NOTE: Gentles Limited cannot accept
responsibility for the 3rd party firmware enhancements required to use this product.
