devices to remotely control camera shutters for remote photography.

:: camera groupings ::

In order to make it easy to select gentled SHUTTER devices this site uses the Camera Manufacturers remote controls as reference. This makes it easier to ensure that your camera is compatible, and what device to buy.

However some gentleds transmit a number of codes. This means that if you have two cameras maybe only one device will meet your needs! There is a drawback though, if the codes are long and there are many of them then the last to be sent will suffer a significant delay in being transmitted, thus there will be shutter lag. Also it has been found that some cameras don't like being triggered if they have just had to "ignore" another code. For these reasons only the following combinations are shipped as standard:

Pentax E and F, Nikon ML-L1
& ML-L3 Canon RC-1 & RC-5

Minolta RC-3,
Canon WL-DC100

Samsung SRC-A1 / SRC-A3, Kodak RS-21, Olympus RC-200

For gent360 LED there is this grouping:

Pentax E & F, Nikon ML-L1 & ML-L3 Canon RC-1, RC-5, WL-DC100

All other camera remotes are in devices that are not "shared" with other codes. If you need a "special" combination this may or may not be possible, ask and we'll let you know!
